It's all because of the stupid amounts of torque that diesels put out.

            yeah...

When i had my 318ti i was drag racing with a friend in an E46 320d.. gave me a good run for my money.. i inched ahead of him in the quarter. Hell, I was surprised. Haven't underestimated a diesel since, and would like to buy one...

HEY.. there'd be a nice swap.. one of them new diesel sixes in an E30.. that would be badass... tons of power, great fuel economy.

M Coupe is to M Roadster as 1 Series is to Z4

                I disagree..

the ever pervasive iDrive has not made it's way into the Z4.. yet..

you know, it's funny.. I like iDrive. I find it simple and logical.. maybe it's because i'm a techie..

even still, though, i would not put it in one of my cars :P

the 1 series DOES look a bit like the protoge, however, it's hood is long enough that it still looks like a BMW. the E46 318ti is sexy. How much could I estimate ot pay to get one here in the states?? The only complaints i would ever have about that car are 1. it looks like a Benz C class compact....minus the supercharger and 2. the headlights are funny.

                  Give me one.

Add the super-euro! taillights to you list. Absolutely hideous.
