from what i've noticed it's only 88 and 89. if you go to car-parts.com you can search 88 325i headlight assembly not only 88 comes up but so does 89 nd the site is made to show all search results not only for the year you choose but also the years that the car was the same. ie if you searched 1990 front bumper assembly you would get all of the years that the car has come with plastic bumpers.
