      Did a compression check.....

The mAgic number was around 125, two where around there, two were around eighty or ninety and the last two barely hit 25. :(

When I checked the compression before I took the orginal head off all the cylinders were great so I don't think it's bottom end. I'm hoping it's just bent valves.

Was working on it today and almost got the head off but went to my friends graduation party. We shot clay pigeons
for over five hours, prob around 1500 clays, it was sweet!

Get ready for some disaster When you pull your head. Its always good to expect the worst and hope for the best...

Check the cylinder walls really well and make sure there is no scoring
        Also
Check the edges of the pistons really well on the two bad chambers. If any chucks of metal got smashed up into them they will eat the shit out of your cylinder walls later on.

Yeah I'm hoping that's not what I get when I pull it off but hey that would be my kinda luck right now...

So we got the head off and the bottom end looks fine, walls, pistons evertything looks fine.

Valves on the other hand, all the intakes are pretty messed up and maybe one of the exhaust valves are messed up.

One more thing, is there a write up anywhere about taking apart the head? My dads know tons about cars and we have the right tools to do it. The only thing were not sure about is that pole I don't know what is called but its goes through the rockers, how do you get that out because there is always going to be tension on it because you can't move the other rockers enough to get it out of the way of the valve and valve spring.

            Suggestions???

The rocker retaining shafts can be removed by taking off the little rubber caps at each end. Then use a flat head to remove the lock plate on the cam gear side of the head.

Then get a big punch and lightly tap the shaft out from ether direction. its pretty easy once you start.
