How does she sound? Gorilla being raped? Sound clips asap.
Car was running the muffled exhaust so it was loud and angry, but not too over-bearing. It will be another story on days when the side exit exhaust pipes are fitted.Below the radar...

Very very cool, thanks for sharing. The fact that M88 is to be fitted makes my heart skip a beat.
Not to go OT, but ever since I saw Roy's Inka 2002 at V@V this year, I have admired VSR more and more. You guys did an amazing job on that car, I'm sure this one is no different.

^ Agreed regarding Roy Wicklund's Inka M2, certain things I might not have done (e.g. wheels, I.C.E., etc.) but one could not argue with the caliber of the work performed on that, easily one of the nicest resto-jobs I have seen on an '02. The exhaust work was impressive too, as was the diff; and I've never seen an E24 seat in an '02. That dude has some serious cash.
That M88 + side-exit exhaust on the CSL should be an amazing noise.- Trey

Roy's car was built for a different purpose than the car shown above. Each has it's intended uses and desires. Their respective owners will enjoy them to the fullest I am sure!
Thanks for the kind words on both accounts. For those who are not familiar with Roy's car, here is a quick photo from a few weeks ago:
This car features a 2.5L Schnitzer S3 S14 engine under the hood and many other custom additions to the driveline/body/suspension/interior.Below the radar...

RS wheels were never a viable option.
Far more "show" orriented than this car was designed for.
The wheels on the car were custom built to fit this car. I believe it is running a 17x9" front, and 17x11" rear at this time. So there is plenty of "bling" wheel lip. The wheels are lightweight, strong, and designed for track use.
It was a far better selection than trying to force a 15+(?) year old wheel setup to work in this application without assurance that we could achieve the widths/spacing necessary without foolish spacer setups. I think the owner would much rather enjoy not having to mess with spacers and older wheels for the "look".Below the radar...

Yeah, I was about to say, CCWs are the exact purpose-built wheels that a race car needs. Maybe some E50 centerlocks would be nice if it were sitting in a garage / showroom, but racing wheels need to be as reliable as possible.
20 year old wheel centers have seen a lot of abuse, so you might as well start with wheels that haven't seen any track/street mileage. I'm not saying that BBS RS would have any problems, I've seen some bent lips and cracked barrels on street-driven RSs, but never a problem with the centers.
