Hey everybody!
my name is kevin and im from nebraska. i dont have an e30 but i do have a 1974 bmw 2002. it is currently waiting for its new m42 motor to finish being turbo'd before being swapped in. the motor is out of a 1993 318is. it will have a 8:5:1cr, garrett gt28r turbo, is, etc. etc with 20-25lbs of boost. shooting for 300-325 to the wheels.

my other car is a 1984 bmw 533i. im looking to sell it or trade for either a 535 or possibly any 2 door e30. i joined this site to research some on the m42 and to browse some classifieds!

Hey Kevin, welcome to the forum. I actually have a 74 2002tii. Despite not having an e30 I have found this to be, at least in my experience, a very welcoming and informative forum. Damn, if you really start pushing those kind of numbers at the wheels on an 02 you're gonna have yourself one "omg-I-think-Im-gonna-shit-myself-every-time-I-press-the-gas" little car!!

Correct me if im wrong but I thought the m42 was only e30 then in the e36 it was the m44?

M42 would definately be a better motor in a 2002 than an E30, a cheaper alternative to a S14. Welcome to R3V, despite most of the flamming this is a good forum.

i am already a member and the m42 was actually in the e36 until 1995. 1996 was the first year for obdII and the m44
