etas come with a 2.93 open diff right? maybe the extra zip you are feeling is due to the 3.25lsd as well. The chip does wake up etas though.

I did the 3.25 about 4 months ago, so my results were stacked so to speak. I just got response from mark d'sylva, "Power wise, it's about 22 hp more, and about the same increase in ft-lbs."

I wanted to run a dyno test before and after to gauge the difference, i still have the old chip in its protective packaging so thats still an option...

I should add that out of everything I did to my e30, the only one that actually cut any respectable amount of time off my 1/4 mile time was my 3.91 LSD, and probably experience. After my LSD I got it down to 15.5 from 15.9. With a chip, CAI with heatshield, long tube headers, no cat, and IE catback there wasn't much difference, nor was there with 19# injectors and AFPR(though with the stock injector chip), except of course a lot of noise. Though it did move around the power band to a better spot.

Chips are highly overrated IMO, worth it still, but overrated nonetheless. From what I can tell it is not overrated on etas though.

So sounds like on this site at least the Mark D'sylva chip in superior to the Jim Conforti chip? I was going to go with one from Autothority, then read about how much better the Conforti chip is, and now I'm reading that the Mark D chip is on top of all. Can anyone confirm this?

All I know is that my current Dinan (pretty sure its a knockoff because of the price) was no different than the stock chip. Now looking for a new chip but not sure which to choose.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

The combination of the two probably does it. When I put just my chip in my ETA I noticed a bit of a difference. The 3.25LSD would definietly do it though.
