Why do you bid on an item days before the end? Idiots end up just driving up prices, Dumb Fucks. Just venting lock at anytime.

proxy bidding sluts proxy bidding, that's how you win.
That's why people bid 5 days in advance,
I find an item and figure right away what I would think is a good deal and willing to pay for the item, submit my bid just under that and wait , if overbid at last minute and still in $$ range, rebid.E30 325ix 62k

No you that option that option they have to bid up to a certain amount for you in you absence- proxy .
Bids up to your max bid for you basically by going up in smallest allowable increments.
You bid max say $50 on say a bag of nuggets.
It starts at $25.00 and some jerk bids $26 then the proxy bid will automatically bid $26.25 for you say the same jerk bids $27 then the proxy will bid 27.25 and so on up to your max bid.E30 325ix 62k

The problem with proxy bidding is the other interested people know you exist. If you do not bid until seconds before the end the person thinks they are going to win & don't keep countering your bids. This way you can win for much less.

Nitro's solution is good if you have (as he does) great connectivity. if not it is really frustrating clicking bid & watching the auction end while the page is refreshing, also with the sniper you do not have to be near a computer.
