In London, small world

So my wife, son and I are on vacation, in the West End of London on this leg of the trip, when I pulled up next to this guy in a nicely done m-tech II cabrio. We were stuck in heavy traffic, so I rolled down the window of our Audi A4 touring 2.0 TDI rental and complemented him. He seemed a bit surprised, though I have no idea as to whether it was because some American guy knew just what was up with his car, or that anyone would care about a 20-year-old BMW 3-series here in the West End. Of course I mentioned briefly about my car, then it was my turn to be surprised: he's seen my build pages on my site and enthusiastically complimented me on my car! At least when it comes to our E30 scene, it's a smaller world than I imagined.

I went to an autocross yesterday, usually every other event since I started, I've been the only e30 there. Yesterday though, 7 E30's showed up in total. It was nuts. I didn't even know there were that many around here.
