Finally found a black E34 after months of searching
I didn't read the entire thread, but that interior is Silbergrau Hell (Light Silver) not Dove. Dove didn't start until the E39, although the color is virtually identical.
1987 E30 cabrio | Bumper swap | H&R Sport | Koni Yellow | Eibach Sways | BavAuto strut bar | Cardinal seats
MTech2 wheel | Husco Armrest | Smoked Hella Smileys | 5k HID | Stromung | RS003 | Shadowline | Amber Fogs | Too much else to list
I actually have a set of these in the garage, just need to purchase front tires :)
After I put them on I'll start gathering parts for the 5-speed swap, then the car will probably be relatively unchanged until I can afford to turbocharge it. Unfortunately that probably won't be for at least a year, I'm planning on paying off all my debt first.

Good call on the M parallels, I was about to suggest that.
I'll keep my HID protests out of here; car looks great, very sleek. Get the damn 5 speed in there so it has a soul.
I used to think M-Parallels were the best looking 5-lug wheel BMW ever made. Then for about a year or so Style 5's stole that position. For the past year I've fallen in love with M-Parallels again, and I think this time it's for good :)
I'm not sure what it is about Style 5's but to me they tend to date E34's, and even E39's to a lesser extent. If I ever do switch to Style 5's I'll probably have the centers refinished in gold.
I just discovered that a year ago. I think they're better than the E39, I used to have a '97 540i 6-speed. And while E30's are great cars, I much prefer the E34 to them as well.

They are very different cars. I love E39s and E34s, I think they're very different as well.
Given, I haven't driven an E34 for any appreciable amount of time, but still.
It's been a while since I updated this thread, so I figured I'd snap some pics after spending this beautiful Saturday detailing the car. I also realize I haven't taken any with the M-Parallel's on it yet. If any of you are looking for a clean 525i with 132k, you might want to keep your eyes open for a for sale ad in the near future. I'm not positive yet, but we'll see.
happy to see this car went into the hands of an enthusiast, as i see way too many great cars get left out to rot away w/people who dont know what a timing belt is, or "scheduled maintenence" means.
digging those parallels, and so happy they are not the chromes
happy trails.
