Yeah it's funky right? Alright here's the whole story.
I instaled my miller maf kit and war chip, following directions completly and doing everything with the best quality you can do. I drove around all day it felt great I got to my friends shop and hung out then drove home and all was fine until I got gas. One I turned my car back on I got CEL so I get home and make sure I pluged the maf in right and it was fine the first code that was being flashed was 1211 or DME Wich is the ecu right?
I unplaged the battery checked my ecu harness and Plug it back in and the check engine light was still on.
This time it flashed 1888. I'm not tripping!
Eventualy it went off. But when I was sitting there idling for a minute it came on but when I gave it some gas it went off.
are you shre it wasn't throwing a 1221 code?
that is the code for an o2 or MAF problem, but it also means that the mixture is off or out of spec. i get that everyonce in a while when i start screwing with the mixture when it gets extra hot or cold here or when i have it too rich and the cam causes it to load up at idle.
rememember that i also have a MAF conversion (but a split second/T-bird one) so we may be having similar problems.

Yeah it sucks I have no way of knowing if I'm running rich or lean. It does seem to warm up fast.
here is the part number for the bosch 02 sensor you will need. 17014
PM forced firebird for the site where you can get a kit for the gauge and box all on the cheap. IIRC everything included under or around $100.00
