I'm sure it's probably been done, but I would rather have an S50, or better yet, an S38.

They made that car already. It's called a 528e.

NO a 528e is an eta I mean an m20b25, I think it would rip since it would be 50-60 more horses and the gearing would make it fly especially on the highway.

So if I had a 528e with a dying engine and a 325ix engine could I put them together to make a stroker.

Yeah, I guess. Anyway, enough thread jacking.

A 2.5L in an E28 would be weak in the knees for sure. Performance variants of M20's work well in the 5er, but you need to use a 3.0/3.1 setup. Also, short gearing is needed to really maximize on performance, 3.91 or 4.11 (not something everyone wants in their 5er).

3.0 and 3.2 24v swaps have been done numerous times in the E28. They work awesome, especially if doing the swap on a 535i, you drop about 120 pounds off the front of the car.

See, now that sounds awesome. I've often looked at E28's, I wouldn't mind owning one.

Get one! I dont regret one bit selling my e30 for my 535i. Its a tank, but a nimble tank. :D

Yes, yes I am. I don't even care about post counts. If I had my way, we wouldn't even have them.

Just get yourself an '88 M5 with the S88 motor and pull two of the sparkplug wires :finger:

The S14 is an S88 with 2 cylinders chopped off.

I'd absolutely love an e36 sedan with a built 2.5 s14 for track work, touring car style

There's a video clip floating out on the web of that concept....except its a E36 coupe shell with pumped up S14 power. You've probably seen it before. Pretty insane shit.
