I love the look of it. Definatly not boring imho, and since I am not a vette die hard, I am not going to bitch about the headlights.

Would I take one over an e46 m3...? Almost definatly.

The C5 Z06 is completely nuts on the street, let alone the track. I can't even imagine how the C6 is going to be on the track. Most people on here have never driven let alone rode in a Z06, and yet are so quick to say how much of a POS it is. With the exception of a few who on here, most people would piss their pants if they ever rode in a Z (or comparable car) on the track with a good driver.

          I like it.

Friend of mine has a 450hp C5 z06 with some goodies and it's loads of fun. I really like the way the c6 looks, and the only problem with the c5 z06 was the cavalier interior. They've since fixed that problem. Nice interior, nav, xenons, etc... The new z06 will be a bargain when comparing it to equivalent non-american cars.

I've never been a fan of the corvette, only because it's not rare. In the summer, I see a million of them in Chicago. Hell, even see them all over in the winter. Still a cool car none-the-less.

If i was well off, I'd buy a z06 for a track car. Sure I'd rather have a GT3 or 360CS, but the z06 will perform almost as good and if I wrecked it, i mean hey, it's only a corvette.

And it should be very close to Viper territory for half cost. Gee now to talk my Father in Law to get me one from GM at his rate.

Don't we wish... I for one would love it. But it would put me in the typical catagory of Vette drivers. Older seeking attention and a Younger Blond gal to show here T$Ts, while cruising to casino.

ok u take ur twin turbo m3 and race the c6 z06. then u can decide which one you would rather have.

i dont know what some of u are smoking but a stock c5 z06 will pull a 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. thats completely amazing. few ferraris even go that fast. not to mention the new z06 has 95 more hp while also losing a few pounds. It will mutilate any BMW. I would take the z06 hands down.

you guys need to quit looking at the world through the eye of a needle....

The new vettes rock. Hell, even the C5s kick some ass too. Chevy's cars are underratted, whatever power claims they make are lower than what the car is really capable of. My friend had a nice STOCK '01 Z28 and dynod 325rwhp. I have another friend with an '02 trans-am WS6 which also dynod similar numbers. If i'm not mistaken, the car is only supposed to be 350hp @ the flywheel. This is a COMMON thing. In fact, I think its common among GM cars with the LS1 V8 or better.

I think the corvette has been making some serious improvments lately. You can get a factory short-shifter and pull 4.2 second 0-60 times on a regular C6. They can also do over 180mph. And you also complain that 3100lbs is ALOT of weight? I dare you to goto bmwusa.com and find out which cars weigh less and aren't Z4s. You defiantely won't find much that's light from mercedes, and a 911 GT2 weighs about the same.

Unless you have a car that can muster up better times than that, you shouldn't be complaining.

I'm glad they changed the headlights, I dislike the fact even if vettes are nice cars I just see them so often I don't see the big deal. Changing the style is a good thing when they have had some very boring years IMO. Late 70's through the 80's and even 90's.

GM underrated the LS1 f-bodies, but not the vettes. They basically did it so vette owners would feel like they're getting a more powerful motor than the f-body guys.
