So i'm on my way to work the other day when i spot this blue porsche in my rear view mirror. I'm really not driving fast or anything, just keeping up with traffic and switching lanes to pass whenever one opens up. So this guy just follows me the whole time, probably having fun with his new car. He gets ahead of me at one point, and does the same thing i was doing but every time the road would open up with no cars around he would really step on it. So i followed for a bit.
Well, what do you know we both find ourselves next to each other at a red light with absolutely no traffic ahead of us at all. Seeing the way this guy has been driving i figure he'd probably want to show off or something. The light turns green and we both start off like normal, but hold on to first gear (at least on my end) until its reving pretty high, didnt want to take off until i noticed him step on it. As we both switch into 2nd he steps on it and i do too. The crazy thing, we are both going all out, and i'm side by side with him the whole time... i backed off into third gear b/c third for me goes all the way up to 110mph and that would be more stupid than i was already being. At the next light we both looked over at each other, i smiled and waved and he gave me a smiling thumbs up. I wonder how he felt about the whole thing considering the MSRP on one of those is like $93K.
Of course i'll admit right now, that there are a lot of variables to this and in no way does this justify me saying that i'm as quick as a c4s. But to me thats not the point... the point is that to that one guy, he couldnt leave a 20 year old BMW in his $93K porsche. Although i must say, that thing was beautiful.
