    Ebay - OCClutches ?

Has anyone purchased anything from these guys? I am looking at buying a clutch kit and they have a Performance Clutch Products - 1987-93 BMW M5 E28 E34 / M6 E24 STAGE 1 CLUTCH KIT Item number: 120450818626 that looks interesting.

    Any comments?

    No. Just no.

Remember my thread on the eBay scam? Yeah, that's them.

I went through hell to get the clutch. The people there clearly have no idea what they are doing.

I havent even tried the clutch yet. I'm personally not too impressed with it, but it looks like a clutch, so that's a start.

Their customer service really killed it for me though.

There's one girl that picks up the phone (Melinda or something like that). Poor girl has the best of intentions, but can't operate a computer for the life of her. And her boss makes it a point to not let you talk to anyone besides her.

Took her 3 days to finally get someone to come help her find proof of my payment. This was after I provided my full information (twice), unique Paypal Transaction ID at least a dozen times, etc etc....

Oh, and they have two e-mail addresses.

One doesnt work. You just get a failure notice at any attempt.

The second one they claim they never receive any e-mails. This girl gave me her personal e-mail to send her stuff to because she didnt believe what I was saying.

OH.... uh oh. I just ordered a stage 2 e30 one from them and i got it prompt delivery. And their feedback isn't bad.

I think I got the same clutch that a couple other members got and said was working well for them.

Don't have it in yet so I can't testify to the quality or feel or longevity.

or you can buy one from grip force. I've dealt with them for the past two clutches. Customer service is good and the clutches have held up great. I can't say much for the m30 clutch as I have only put about 50miles on it so far.

Done. I just called them to make sure they had them in stock. Ordered an e28 535i sachs kit, should ship today and arrive before friday/saturday.

They picked up the phone and answered all the questions quickly.

Yeah, usually I gladly pay a bit more for less headaches, but this was one of Jeremy Clarkson's "how hard can it be?" moments.

                  Never again.

Lol. Yeah, that grip force place seems legit, cost was just over $300 for it after tax and shipping.

I bought mine from them, too. When I contacted them to pay, the guy saw that I am in OC and suggested I come by to pick it up and save the $25 shipping (they are 10 miles from me). I went by, payed and picked up my stuff without hassle or incident.
