    just fell back in love

Last weekend I drove my sister's 2008 chevy cobalt sport down to southern california last weekend. It was a pleasant drive cruising about 75-80 most of the way. The only complaint i had was that it would downshift (automatic) everytime you nudged the gas pedal alittle bit more and the traction controll is foriegn to me and caught me off gaurd through the twisties in mt shasta.

Well I flew back home today and got in my e30. dear lord it was amazing! the difference was immence. i never realized how much torque my m30 really has, and the car doesnt lean like a stuffed pig around corners!

Im just soo happy right now i dont know how to explain myself. figured r3v would be the only place that would understand how i feel right now.

Best handling mod ever: drive a POS around for a few days, then hop back in your E30.

That's what I love about my Nissan pickup. I normally daily a '91 Nissan Hardbody, which is fun to drive, but it is the COMPLETE opposite end of the spectrum from driving my E30. The only thing that sucks is right now, Andrew (my brother in law) is borrowing it because the engine in his Jetta blowed up, and he's had it for about a month, which means I'm DD'ing my E30, and starting to get used to it again. I can't wait to have my pickup back so I can feel exhilirated every time I drive the E30 again. :D

            This must be my problem.

The other cars I drive are a brand new miata and rav4 (REALLY tight feeling with nice steering... even when you push it a little it feels planted... then quickly gives out but still it's a good "car.")

Change all suspension components on your e30 (every bushing front/rear), put on quality shocks/springs and sticky tires = fun :)

my wifes sentra isn't *too* horrible to drive, other than being totally gutless, and having awful 600tw tires. I don't even bother flooring it, there's no point - 1/4 pedal, 1/2 pedal, full throttle, it all feels the same to me. and at least it's a manual :)
