    Short Throw

Just wanted to start a thread on short throw shifters. What kind of setup do you have? What do you recommend?

I need a new shifter and I am probably going to go with a Z3 setup. Heard different things about the Z3M vs the Z3 1.9 Shifter. Z3 shifter seems to be the best setup for the best price ($100 vs $300+!)
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

Oh thank you all so very much for the help. I did do a search I searched the forum for "short throw" "z3 shift" "short throw shift" so yes I am quite a n00b because I was unable to find the thread that Goober provided. I did figure the topic had been covered, I just had some trouble finding it.

Thank you goober this is exactly what I was looking for. You could have exerted some more effort to add a degrading comment but you knew that it was better to just copy paste and forget it.

How does one become not a noob? I know little about my e30 except for everything that I have done myself. Some of my repairs have been botched and of low quality but I improve as I go. I am just a DIYer who loves his car, thought this would be a welcoming place to improve my e30 knowledge. This is the only car I've ever had and for the last 6 years my main hobby has been to tinker with this car. I really do wish I could know as much as some of the advanced users on here.

This site ought to have a test to pass or fee to pay to enter the site. I'm just not elite enough.

                BMW community FTW!

One must search to become un-noobed. R3V is full of endless DIY and technical threads. Now do work my ill headed companion.

under the hood passenger side on the firewall there is a snorkle/elephant trunk. thats where most of the water leaks out from thats where you need to check to see if its clogged.
