I would say not a tool :) i have a bmw sauber hat, m3 hat, and bmw sauber bookbag. It's not like everyone wears it and its some kind of hip trendy thing but that's just me.

People hate you for it but when it's in the appropriate situation (picnic, some car show) I think it'd be cool. If I was a girl i'd prolly think ur a tool if you wore it all the time....

I guess it also depends what gear it is etc. I have a touring t-shirt that is just a line drawing of the car side on, I wear that all over the joint because only 2% of people would even know what it was.

my buddy gave me a williams F1 shirt. my wife likes it, but i feel like a total tool in it.

my freebie white t with a roundel on it works all the time though. I have a red brimmed flex fit M3 hat that i wear to meets, that's the only time i dont feel like a tool in it. I had the same hat in white that i wore all the time... wierd. I have a X3 polo shirt from working some event with the BMWCCA. the only distinction that it is a BMW shirt is the small X3 tag on the button area that I wear that sometimes too. but when i see people head to tow in whatever car brand they won, total tools.

this reminds me.... last week at the ring, there was some tool couple that was head to toe in shirts, hats, socks, shoes for the new skyline. sooooo lame
