i have to agree with the guys down at the bottom of the thread its fugly. all those weird ass lcurvy lines they throw on new bmw's ain't the best. as a matter of fact they took out what i like about bmw's the undersated power and presence provided by strait body lines and slightly off square front and rear cowls. thats something that 80's-90's bmws are set apart from the rest by, and to trade that in for an attempt to make your car look sexy is a shame. so the verdict here is leave those lines to ferrari and mercades and get back to producing presence (sp?) on the road (in terms of lines, handling etc. never left)

What the fuck dude. BMW's have never looked unique. You ever seen the 1980's Sentra? Dead ringer for an E30! Old BMW's just had those lines because that was what was popular at the time. Now curves are what is popular.

I like how low, sleek, and wide the new 6 is, but everything else about the car looks horrible, the details don't flow at all. Plus it's a damn boat, just like the original. No appeal to me, really.

They're going to have to try a lot harder to put the newer 6er above the older one.
Well, part of the reason for that is that the E24 M6 became a legend, it's always hard to dethrone a legend..

I have yet to find a better looking BMW than the E24 M6. I love that car. Must own it someday. ;)
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

not digging it. given the money, i'd go for an AMG SL instead.

                      Meh, I think the 1991-1994 B13 is more E30-esque ;)

                        Code:
ok ok i miss said what i ment shure bmw's strait lines ain't the most original thing in the world but they still look way better then this new thing. the comparision to the sentra isn't the best in my opinion because they replaced the "slightly off square cowls" of e30-6-9's with an ugly as sin front facade. don't get me wrong i still like curves, like the ones you find on an rx-7 or 8 or the 360 modena. but then again this is comming from the guy that thinks that the 740iL is the best looking bmw ever. And if bmw is following popularity trends they were doing a much better job in the 80's and more importantly in the 90's than they are now. i mean make the car look as curvy as you like but at the end of the day still make shure it looks good. as it stands it looks like the bastard son of the clk 55 amg and the audi tt with the 350z back end thrown on for good luck.

                            i like it!!!

Also iirc it will never have an 'ordinary' tranny due to the arrangement of the clutch and 1st and 2nd gear being at opposite ends of the box or summat...
