at my new job, I do get some kidding about " well you must make lots of money if your driving a bmw convertable" some of them I tell them that I have less $$ in it then they have in their old hondas or yotas
the sad story.so one of the people said:
oh we used to have a 325, my husband did not liek it as it was so hard and expensive to work on, everytime it was hundreds of dollars in parts.
One day I was driving home from eugene , adn called him up to say the car was running hot.he said fuck it, drive it home, I dont care.
she called him a second time to tell him that the temp gauge was maxed out,,,,same reply. she made it home
next day car was toast, dead, would not turn over....duhhh
so after it sat for a few weeks they sold it to a wrecking yard
the positive for me...the next day she brought me a betley manual and a box of parts. ( mostly junk)....for free..just to get them out of the garage
