yeah, from what I'm getting here, and all the other forums I'm on it looks like I'll be looking into e34's, we'll see. Really I'll be looking at many cars, but I would prefer to find something in a Bavarian flavor.

OP get an E34, way cooler than an E39 and a lot more modern than an E28.
+1 I am not a fan of the m52's. M50 non-vanos was the best motor they put in that car hands down. It also has a very low cost in up keep.

Thank you. I try to keep it clean and it was my first car too. The wheels have light curbing just an fyi.

get an e34 with the m50NV motor. i have a 92'525i and i love it, apart from this transmission hose i gotta replace. they're comfy, ride well, and as mentioned earlier, the NV version is the best one in terms of maintenance/reliability/cost of upkeep

also, don't speed in it. REALLY EASY to go too fast, 95 feels like 45, believe me.

                      I owned an E39 540i 6-speed and now I own two E34 525i's. The E34 seems like it's built a lot better, and they're fantastic daily drivers.

I have had good luck with a E34, I think it all has to do with the previous owners and the care that they took with the vehicles.

Just another happy e34 owner here...

My DD is a '91 525i with the non-vanos M50 and currently has 216k. No problems from the motor itself but I am battling with some minor interior electrical issues. It's a 5 speed too!

                          I think you'll do great with a well-maintained e34.

OK, I am gonna say it straight, right now:

Fuck E34/E39 HVAC systems right in the pooper.

WHY the fuck does the DME need to know when the rear windiw defrost is on? What the hell is that supposed to be anyway? Why would the A/C clutch "compressor control relay" come off the goddamn DME...why not send WOT signal to the fucking "Integrated Air Conditioning System Module" instead of making the two try and work together?

Who the fuck make this shit?

                              Closing SOON!
