I need to order the normal tune up parts, plugs, all belts, h20 pump, etc, etc. Last time I did this, I went through my local BMW mechanic (independent shop) and he ordered a graf water pump and a contitech t-belt. I looked on Bav Auto and saw their stuff was cheaper than what I paid. Can anyone speak to the quality of these parts offered by Bav Auto? Is it going to be some no-name brand that I should worry about, or not a big deal? TIA.

You gotta be a little careful with them.
There carrying that Uropart brand now on some items, which I've heard is of lesser quality than oem.
I deal with them quite a bit, but always verify what brand the part is before I buy.
And many oem parts can be had cheaper thru others such as getbmwparts.com.
That all being said, on the stuff I do buy from them, they are a good outfit and stand behind there stuff.sigpic

Your mechanic makes at least 100% on you with parts and that's what is why it is rare that they let you bring your own parts. There are legal issues as well, but they hit you twice: parts and labor.
Bavauto does have good and bad brands, but what not too many people know about is that they PRICE MATCH other online vendors whether it is Pelican or Autohaus... Works for me because I get parts the next day since I am in Taxachussetts.'96 328is
