    doing exhaust work

Well I decided to install my magnaflow 14815. I've never done any custom work on exhaust before but i'll try my best. The lowest quote I got from local exhaust shops was $147 for installation. I finally found some free time and purchased a 2.25" to 2" y pipe decided to get at it. So far I have about hour into it because I don't exactly have the best tools:) I have a welder so that part should be fine, its the lining up part that may be difficult for me without any way of bending pipe.

It got dark so I'll update tomorrow and finish it up.

of course, I started it without the catback and it sounds awesome, it doesn't even get raspy or anything.

That muffler is very annoying. If you didnt like your other one you will kick yourself in the ass for this one. It has a lot of rasp, Sounds like a honda when you get on it. I wish I took videos of mine. I had it on for one week before it went bye bye.

Magnaflow info on this muffler lists it as having a "deep" sound, did you have a cat on your car White325is?

well if it is I have no problem installing another muffler a little later:) my car has the ebay alpina headers and a catco cat, If i don't mind the sound of no muffler I don't think adding a muffler can make it worse, My IE muffler was silent and I want a little extra sound.

                      Yes I had a cat.

Long tuber headers, dual 2 inch pipes into a dodge magnum converter, 2.5 inch pipe into the muffler. it was very loud and raspy. Driving down the highway it was annoying because you couldnt hear the person next to you talking with out yelling.

Mine was a bit drooning but I think it gives it a nice note thru the rpm range. Installed for $60 and paid $119 shipped for the muffler itself.

I guess im getting older but I will not buy it again just because it can get annoying. A stocker works just fine.

There is a youtube vid. Search may pull it up.

Exactly. I liked the sound outside of the car better then inside of the car. I just couldnt handel it.

I paid $50 bucks for a shop to install my IE cat back and brand new mounting kit. Took them 2.5 hrs. Suckers! :)
