Optima Cranking or Braille Lightweight? battery Dual

The battery of my 318is Died. (and I thought duralast was built to last). And Im quite frustrated becuase I jsut bought a brand new optima red top for my 2002.

So another hundred bucks sets me back from finishing my turbo project but i need a new battery.

anyway, in the Slicktop 318is weight is one of it's biggest bonuses. But I definiltley want reliability in a battery.

Optimas can be fetched brand new from aguy I know for about 100 bucks. but they can be quite heavy for a red top. But the Brailles are also light, but costs around 50% more, and not quite as reliable (from what I know) than the heavy duty optimas. If you were in my position, What would you do?

If I were in your position, I'd look at getting the Deka ETX14. It is inexpensive ($67 shipped off Ebay), and weighs 12 lbs.

East Penn makes Deka batteries, and also manufactures the AGM batteries for Braille.

Got the Battery, because It had motorcycle mounting terminals I had to do some funky shit to get the motorcycle battery to connect to the Car terminals. now its secured, and the car turns right over.

Oops, sorry about that. I forgot, you will need M6 to SAE terminal adapters.

Thanks for reminding me, I'll have to get a battery this week.
