Something wrong with aftermarket swaybars? ;)This 318is doesn't feel too slow either, I think the light flywheel and some of the engine tricks account for a lot of that, even though the power isn't too much more than stock. It's 2460# with full trim, hard to believe that's what your 3.2 car weighs! But believe me there have been moments when I wish it had the 3liter under the hood. ;) It has a mild suspension under it that I thought would do the job but the roll stiffness just isn't there so I'm changing it up soon; I figure if it can't do too much on the straightaways I need all the exit speed I can get! :DLeave a comment:

because they have classic boxy lines with decent handling when the suspension bits are freshened up and tires are grippyLeave a comment:

But seeing your 318is reminds me that I enjoyed that car as much as, if not more than, my 3.2l car. I didnt really think about it being slow either at the time, it was just pure fun. Actually, when I was mixing my driving between the E36 M3, 318is, and 3.2 eta the only one that felt "slow" was the M3... haha. Never thought about the 318is in terms of fast or slow.Leave a comment:

hey were you the guy looking for a mkII ?honestly i'm going from a mkv gti to this and i gotta say i enjoy this car a lot more. it's much more nimble, feels about as quick (though it certainly isn't), gets roughly the same gas mileage, but this time i got the right transmission and right wheel drive. (fingers crossed alkasquawlik doesn't read this and rub it in my face)Leave a comment:

Hardly anything felt fast when I daily drove the 3.0 24v car, so I know just what you mean. E36 M3's felt like dogs, mostly because of the weight of the car and the flywheel; they just arn't potent like the 24v E30. When you drive a 318is/325is everyday you don't necessarily think it's a slow car, but when you daily a 290+hp 24v, different story.Leave a comment:
