    Day after Thanksgiving Sales

Did anyone else get up at 5 am and go shopping today? This was my first time; Circuit City was extemely crowded, but fun at the same time. I ended up getting some cds, 2 dvds for 5 bucks each, a home theatre system, and a 27 inch tv.

There is no way I am waking up that early on nonschool days unless it is something like snowboarding.

My wife, her mom and a bucnh of the rest of her family left the house at 3 am this morning. They hit 17 stores and got back by 8:30.

And my wife called my friend and I nerds for staying up all night to go the 6 am showing of "Matrix Revolutions".

Every Thanksgiving, the Ladies of are family get up at 5 a.m. and go into The outlets in Koxville to go shopping, Then all the Guys drive in the back way on the twisy mountain roads to wait in line for an hour to eat lunch with them. It's crazy but every year they do it. This year at the Local Bestbuy they showed people lining up at midnight for when the store opened at 6 a.m. It's crazy to stand in line like that If i ever go shopping I just go at 6 a.m when the store opens to get the deals.

I wasn't part of that early morning madness.....its never appealed to me. I did get up at 6am on Friday and went to the gym. Put in 90 minutes of a good turkey-burnin' workout. It felt good to do that.

                Conceptualize:

Ad Campaigns... BEAT THE RUSH, WE OPEN AT 5AM!!!
American's.... "Derrrr OK I'll go early"
Americans then come to realize.... "DOH everyone else is here too. still busy. "

My take on that little shopping gimmick
                Below the radar...

The only reason we went earlier was so they wouldn't sell out of the tvs that were on sale. Had we not gone in that early we would not have been able to get the tv we wanted. I wish they would have just opened at their normal time.
