The guy had an echo and was happy so why are people suggesting fun cars when he obviously want a practical car.

I can't get into something that small. Once I was in a Yaris and we got sideswiped by a CBR we lost our side mirror front bumper and left headlight and he kept going. Glad we got hit by something that weighs like 300 pounds and not a real car.
Used Acura TL/CLs are getting pretty cheap for a car a few years old those should get about 25 MPG pretty good and they are comfortable, reliable and can actually merge at highway speeds.

Minis = meh. Wrong wheel drive FTL. Buzzy engine even with an S. Nice for parking, impractical for much else in life.

Be like M Triple and get a 5spd 525 E39. Great gas mileage, great A/C and dual zone climate control... lots of airbags and safe like a tank.

Not a bad idea. Just remember that there is no space...at all. Trunk will hold a case of beer at most. Remember the movie Go?

One of my friends from elementary school works at Mini and gave me keys to one of the Works editions a few months ago. I really enjoyed the car considering it is wrong wheel drive....took it down Fraternity Church rd at a very good clip and was impressed. Still liked the integra type R more and would have to take that if given the choice

btw, you can come pickup that parking light whenever, i'll leave it in the mailbox. no worries on monies

    +1

Idk about the newest model though, I liked the older styling more.

Kinda, but not really off subject.

I've talked with 2 owners of the Mini Cooper S, and both talked of getting rid of it because of the horrendous gas mileage. I don't know personally, only what they told me.

To be fair, both were SC, not the newer Turbos. One was an older female, the other a young male. I really don't believe the retired woman was out beating on the Mini, so...

I had planned on buying one, but now I'm not so sure. Any insight?

More on topic- Fit and Yaris are both fairly decent. Slow, cheap, but awesome mileage- and everything works, unlike every one of our E30's. ;)

I'm sure the guy is bringing up a $15k car, because he really wants to spend $30k+

Have we no idea of context?
