      3.6l's of uber high compression, DOHC, direct injected 60 degree V6 306hp madness...

      Curious to know what this "550hp" motor is ;)

        no pictures or anything? not a story? for real?

        well the v is sick...
        how about they quit production of the xlr, which was ironically hand built in the kentucky plant... where the z06 and others are put together on production lines.

          The "v" version has the new LS9, the supercharged 6.2 v8, from the vette zr1

          only mildly detuned from the zr1 (less boost?), iirc

            well you see, that my friend, is sick.

            went to corvettes at carlisile, and surprisingly there were quite a few zr1's. they drove rather mildly too.

                  Injectors are in the cylinder head to where they spray straight into the combustion chamber as apposed to spraying into the intake manifold or ports. Similar to a diesel.

                            ...and this allows a finer and closer control of fuel enrichment and atomization, and, therefore, detonation. Therefore, compression ratios can be higher, boosting power output and fuel ecomomy, and air/fuel ratios can be leaner, also aiding ecomomy
