    more car mysteries...

i posted a thread a week or so ago regarding my car. i got the valve cover gasket, new spark plug wires and fresh oil in the car and new problems emerge...i still need to get an obd1 reader to see what code's i am getting/ reset them if possible but now i get a coolant light when i have a normal level of coolant...it only comes on when i redline any gear (1st, 2nd and 3rd never redlined higher then that...) not exactly sure what the issue is at this point as i checked the hoses, the expansion tank, fluids and saw no leaks or cracks of any sort...the car however runs perfectly fine no overheating issue's, no rough idle, no abnormalities to the best of my knowledge...

any idea's of what i should be looking at given these symptoms...i know it is rather vague description especially because i don't have a code reader but any help is appreciated TIA...car is a 325is with about 186.5k on the clock fyi

off course i did a search but didn't find anything similar to my situation

i haven't redlined it that much only twice sorry if my post was eluding to my gunning from light to light...i just barely got the car about a month ago...but is that common then for the coolant light to come on while the engine is redlined? it was simply an abnormality i noticed

did a second search regarding code reading found something that might be useful...

Check engine light on in your car? Not sure how to fix it? Use the techniques outlined in this article to figure out which problems are causing the light to come on.

will try this tomorrow and see what i get...thanks for the tip didn't know that but any more idea's regarding coolant matter? sorry if this is n00bish...
