    Z31.9L shifter for e36?

    Hey guys,

was wondering if the Z3 1.9L shifter is used in the E36 M3 as shorter shifter comapred to stock? I know in the e30 crowd is used with good results shorting the distance, however I tried int he e36 M3 and fells about the same.

    Thanks

i dunno how many people here would have opinions on that since it's more of an E30 site.
post over on bimmerforums, thats where the e36 crowd hangs out, and im sure some of them would have the answer to your question.

They are about the same from what I've read, so no, you won't notice a difference.

I posted but no repsonse over there yet.

That's what I thought, seems liek the Z31.9L was bit shorter, probably 5mm or so.

look in the shifter thread. theres a pic with all of em so you can see the differences in length above and below the ball.

edit- but if you cant tell a difference, isnt that all that matters?
