Here is a table I made today out of spare parts. It a defective BMW Borbet wheel (im not sure what car) mounted on top of an E30 camshaft and sprocket with a rolling base. It turned out really well

I can't remember where it was but I read an article once about this furniture company that makes everything out of car parts. Just like you, they used a camshaft for the base of the table, they used blocks for tables, etc. Pretty cool idea! Is the glass just resting on top of the wheel?Comment

I would cut the wheel so it was just the spokes and rim, not only would it be lighter, but I think it would look a lot better.
