that really is a shame, nice M3. As already mentioned, the larger sheet metal; fenders and the bumpers also have a VIN sticker attached, but that sticker can be removed. Maybe you want to post the VIN to keep an eye out? I don't think that would make you more vulnerable from thieves?
Just so no one gets the car mixed up, but Barry Robinson's M3 is the same color and same carbon fiber hood and wing and he's in Southern California. Don't go getting him arrested by mistake.

so you're in NorCal, right Eric?

post on baye30.net as well, lots of local peeps who'd notice an e30m3 whether they were looking for one or not.

        & that absolutely sucks, man.

hope you don't get jacked again by the insurance co.

It'll probably turn up in the outskirts of Fresno in some farm field stripped(my parents live near Fresno in Lemoore). I live in the southern part of Sacramento just a stones throw away from the farmlands in Elk Grove. I road cycle alot and I've gone out 10miles and I've seen a few cars stripped next to the road in a field. Once was an e36 out there, also a VW cab!! It's a shame yours got ripped but since M3's are rare parts may turn up being sold and you can trace it to the ass who took it!!

it was recovered on december 3rd... I got word about it tonight and went to look at it.

it's located about an hour outside of town in a mountian town. they had to use a 120ft cable to pull the car off the side of a mountian.

                      the whole car is F-ed.

I have pics, but I'm not sure If I want to post em up on the internet just yet...

Now it's time to deal with the insurance company

i don't have an expletive suitable for that.

hopefully the thief died in it?

Did you say you had a silver m3? hmmm your in northern california though, but when i drive home from my gf's place i notice every bmw and high end euros or modded cars (she lives in a nice neighborhooD, you wouldn't believe how many dinan tune cars i've seen) But recently i've noticed a light colored m3, i don't now how long this post has been here, but please don't get your hopes up. I'm not going to park and investigate the car ( lol i don't know maybe i will just for the chance of a fist fight ) but yeah this was recently. Probably in the past few months maybe 2 - 3 months maybe less, but all i know is that its recent. But even if thats yours it could've been sold to them. Reply to this post and email me also. Sometimes i forget to check the forums, especially now that i'm barely coming back to it. Btw, i live in souther california so i don't now how much u wanna bet thats yours, but i know how people push cars and moving it far from home with swapped parts is the easiest. Yeah its hard for us to carry some of my dad's customer's cars in our driveway. People drive around see a nice 350 custom in someones driveway and next thing you know a tow truck is there lifting it for someone. so we block it in our driveway with a few cars. feel free to IM me or msg me on aim or msn, pogiboy9@hotmail.com, or p0gib0y on aim. my email is neil.delorito@gmail.com
