Bottom line profits made from those cars go overseas. Our money goes to other countries period. Govt should have said on domestics only! Plus I dont feel like helping to buy other peoples cars.

I really think the point of the program was to promote spending, and boost the economy that way, which is quoted.

political debates are quite pointless these days, everyone creates their own theories of why shit is good or bad. I like to have faith in my government no matter who is running it. whether it is George bush or Obama. The funniest thing is that there is so much like termoil between teh dems, and the Repubs. and what most(my age (19)) dont know, is that Mccain was trying to unify the dual party system (and the country), ultimately trying to eliminate it. however in 2000, the republican party shot him down to throw bush in there for some profits. It's really a shame there is like this legendary country, and govt fail of the parties, because of the inability for people to see the other side, no matter what party and support them.

The population voted for a guy, support him, all you are doing is bringing down the rest of the country. If not write a fucking book, or start a school, nobody likes to have political shit shoved down their throat.

IMO the govt probably knew what they were doing when they started cash for clunkers, probably because Gm failed, and was hoping that the population would buy some of their cars to get them back on their. feet.

I never post anything politcal, but finally thought it was appropriate, especially when politcal hijacking seems so appropriate...
