I don't think there's anything in the owners manual that would help you fix your car.
there is stuff about the OBC functions, fluid capacities, and other neat information. but you could live without it.
on m42club.com or e30tech.com there used to be a thread with the link to the factory service manual for techs. Check out those sites for it,, it was a sticky. The owners manual isnt going to help you much other than oil weight charts, and fluid capacities. I know because I still have mine.
