Wheel bearing hell f**k my life

Im doing rear axles on my car so I have a press at the shop at my dads work. I pressed the old one out and pressed the new one in. No problems.

when I got to put the axle in It almost made it all the way threw so I figured I would give it a few wacks from my 3lb single jack only to have the hup pop put of the bearing with the outer race attached any one have this happen I think its because I got this bearing from kragen. So Im pretty sure I got a defective bearing.

Nothing can ever go easy. The first one went on fine.

They will blame the 3 lb hammer and probably make u buy a new one. Clean the splines on the hub as well as the CV, add a little grease and it should slide on w/o much effort.

    Good luck.

the only thing you should ever buy from domestic auto parts stores are things like wiper blades, cleaning supplies, and tail light bulbs. i would never trust any real parts to last, let alone fit the car.

yes. The c clip has nothing to do with the inner race.

I know the pilot bearing I got for my old m20 was too small for the crank.

The hub fits so lose in the bearing its a joke I can push it half way on by hand. I barely tapped the half shaf with the axle.

I trust NAPA. But they had 4 day wait kragen had them in stock now I have to wait for the new one to come.

Next time pull the trailing arm, and bring it to Riebes shop with a new wheel bearing. No joke, they charged me $40-60 per trailing arm and it was done.

Ok if the bearing is indead bad, bring the bearing to a local bearing store. They will match the numbers. Go with NTN or Timken. FAG are overpriced german bearings and NTN are what ZF uses in the BMW diffs anyways. Look how long THOSE bearings last.
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|

FAG are good bearings and not badly priced at 63.00

You pressed it in from the inner race didn't you? haha
