Looking for a good Tech in Bend, Or.

    Hey How goes it
Any of you gents live in the Bend Oregon area? As i said, I'm looking for a solid and dare I say- trustworthy Tech. I've been told about the Ol Volks Home but understand them to be as the name implies more of a VDub shop. I'd like to find someone who knows BMWs- no head scratching. Any thoughts or recomendations would be great. Cheers

And no doubt will tell you that he knows everything about e30s! ;)

Actually, most of us here know that Jordan has completely stripped one down and rebuilt it, so I think it is safe to say that he is knowledgeable. And I am not just talking about the engine - he stripped the car completely of everything and built it. If he scratches his head, it's probably just dandruff! ;)

        Jordan,
Do you work out of a shop or Inde.? Can you expand on "I'm in corvallis"
Nice work! Your ride looks fast but still very clean. Well done.

nothing major is wrong just a small list of things I don't have time for at the moment.

1.The windshield wipers go up but don't return back down
            2. Head gasket needs replacing
            3. Trip computer needs new desplay bults ( LED?)
            4. Power steering is in-op Don't know why
            5. Chatter from Rt. rear controll
            6. Throttle body needs to be cleaned
            7. It might also need new spark plug wires
            8. needs rear caster correction plates (optional for the moment)
            Any thoughts?

              1. Broken/sticking wiper linkages. PITA fix. Potentially expensive
              2. Not hard (for me) but time involving. Prolly 6 hours.
              3. Easy, cheap.
              4. Could be alot of things. Most likely low/no fluid, jammed pump, or missing belt
              5. see #8
              6. Easy, cheap.
              7. Easy. $150 for 8mm silicone wires
              8. No such thing exists, given this and #5 I bet your trailing arm is bent.

Due do the e30's rear suspension design you cant get rear camber "plates"

Your options are pretty much essentirc bushings, or essentric bushings + slotted subframe.

                  big $$$ etiher way.

The new project will hopefully begin around February, with money saved from the new, much better paying job.

I should have about $2500-3000 by then, and if I can find a cheap enough car, I may do the initial stages of my suspension directly after the purchase.

The wiper thing is a PITA, but not necessarily expensive. I got a replacement motor and arms for 30 bucks. It is a shit job though.
