    Autobahn Sport

Firstly, I'd like to thank all of you for your continued support of Autobahn Sport over the years.

I apologize that the shut down was abrupt and without much warning. I didn't have much warning either. Our responsibilities and demand had grown faster than we were able to keep up with, and it was a late realization that shutting down and starting over was the only way to get to a position where we have a 100% ability to serve.

I misjudged the size of the project, and the close-out plan I put together fell flat on its face, rendering me to largely do all of the work myself.
To put this in perspective a little, I filled eight 30-yard dumpsters of BMW parts and sent them to the scrap shredder. I moved all of my equipment and remaining parts to a small shop, and have been racing to get everything set up. I'm almost done with the moving and setup.

A few of you got caught in the whirlwind. Arguably orders that I shouldn't have taken. They were too big, too complex, too close to the deadline, or had a stumble that I just had a hard time stepping around. I apologize, and have been making up the situation to the best of my ability. I appreciate your patience.
IF YOU STILL HAVE AN OUTSTANDING ORDER, OR PARTIALLY OUTSTANDING ORDER, please **EMAIL** me 35le30@gmail.com, even if you have emailed me recently about it.

Autobahn Sport will be back shortly, I am hoping by the end of October. We are making some major administrative, physical, and procedural adjustments... How we were operating before was obviously not working. It worked great on a small scale, but as we tried to grow, our service turned to a disservice.

For the time being, we are not accepting shippable orders, except for motor mounts, and few other parts.

Feel free to post any questions or concerns, all order-related concerns need to be emailed.
    Thanks again,

    Joe

Good to see you're back Joe. You helped me a ton with my swap and I thought something had happened to you when I read that you hadn't been around for a while. Looks like you're still making mounts, I might contact you with an odd request soon.

Glad to hear that you're getting started up again.

I'm just curious why you sent so many parts to the scrap shredder...to me it just seems you crushed money away. Were those containers rented, was it costing you too much money to keep that kind of inventory?

I am glad to see you are bringing autobahn back. I know some of us have the benefit of living in the same state as joe so it made our dealings easy. Face to face and with cash. Joe is a great resource for parts and knowledge but the demand for his time was high. Good luck with the new shop startup Joe, let me know if you need any help.

he had a ton of extra stuff and no time to sell it, and i am guessing he wanted to move out of his shop as soon as he could to save a bit more money. he was giving stuff away at his BBQ...
