Depends what kind of riding you are into. I like something a little longer when I am up north or out west cause its so much more open and you can really cruise, plus powder is a bitch when you are riding a 146. But for the most part i spend most of the time in the Poconos and taking day trips out to western Maryland, so that's where I like to ride pipe and spend most of the time in the parks.

I'm 5'8" 165 so my big board is a 156 Burton that my buddy sold me cheap. I love my 147 Ride with Burton customs that i've had for about 4 years. With a good tune and wax I can keep up with my buddies that are bigger and ride longer boards but still rip it up in the park.

You deffinately must have some money if you have to travel as far as you do to find a mountian.

check out Burtons middle of the road stuff. Burton makes the best boards for the money hands down. I ride an 03 Cruzer 156 and it sounds like an ideal fit for your riding ability. 300 new from a shop, but I got mine with Burton freestyle bindings brand new off eBay for 279 shipped. T

You know what's a bitch in the powder? Short, twin tip board.

Niqnak, defenetely check out the Rossi Premier. It's a sweet all-around board. Pretty stiff board, but you'll get used to it. Also Check out the Capitas, and also Lib-techs, I think they are a lil cheaper (just heard good things about them, no personal experence here).

As for Burton making the best board for money, I disagree. Burton makes good stuff, but there are many companies that make better stuff, or the same quality shit for less money.

Having said that, my fav. bindings are Burton Missions ( I have been through bunch of bindings, including the ever so popular Drake F60 Ltd, but I hated them ).

e30sd, Burton Sevens are sweet, same with the customs. I rode them last year few times, awesome boards for the park :)

I ride a 3 year old Salomon 450, size 159. Best board that I have ever bought, really fucking stiff, great for carving and powder, sucks ass for park though. Way to much snap for half pipe, and any landing made slightly off axis will fuxor up your face (don't ask me how I know).

Any high-end Ride will satisfy you, 155-160. They make awesome boards.

                              Keep it slideways!!
