Not an e30 , should i buy it?

question for everyone. I have an 84 318i and a rusty 89 325i. found an 84 735i in mint shape today, guy wants $700 for it. Should I even consider it? I know squat about these cars, any opinions would be awsome.

Its an M30, whats to ask about? Buy it, drive it, get board, swap the drive train into one of your e30s...

I wouldn't...do you want another project? Or do you need a bigger car that you can DD? What is the condition (mechanically, have you inspected it?) and problems with the 7?

do this, but build it between steps 2 and 3.

                holy replies

thanks guys. The dealer said it was an old couple that drove it in. it has 211,000 km. I just wasnt sure. I was looking on the net and doesnt look to be the most populer model, for parts, aftermarket support etc. I am just so used to surfing for my e30's, so much info for them. So what am i looking at with this car, stuff the family in and go to the country , or does that big frame have some fun locked into it? thanks again guys
                cheers

Either your definition of mint is extremely flawed or the car is a steal.

I would bet that the car is far from mint, so unless you NEED the car, I would pass.

                        mint

ok, there is 2 rust spots , both surface rust. i will test drive it tommorow. It is definately a well looked after car, very clean. I will try to get some pics. I just dont know if i should sell the 325i and buy the 735 or just keep the 325i.

Oh woah. If you have to sell the e30 to get the e23, don't do it. Keep the e30!

the drive train is worth the price if you are mechanically inclined.
