This is how I feel about it. When it comes to things like pedals, if you can't tell the difference between real/fake and they do the same job...that's real enough for me. I have a set of ACS engraved pedals from 8 years ago and they still look great. I bought a set of "real deal" ACS pedals off craigslist (no dead pedal, sadly) for $40. I figured why not since that's even cheaper than what the replicas go for. I say go for it, especially if the dead pedal is included.

I don't, which is why I keep referring to them with the quotes. Interestingly enough though, mine don't have the serial number stamped onto the back of the rubber of the gas pedal. It would be nice to figure out a way to determine the real ones from the replicas. And certainly would help out dillsnick's FS thread. I'd be happy to offer up some pictures of mine, maybe we can finally put the mysteries to rest.
