Payroll Shiet

Im a college instructor (professor to you bud), and I have payroll issues all the time. You would think that given the level of overall professionalism demonstrated at the university level that wouldnt happen.

But, oh yes, so it does. Im still owed 2,200.00 in expenses I incurred while conducting a seminar in Miami. Should be on the next check but ... never know when. Last time it was 4 months before I got reimbursed.

Sorry about the payroll issues. Yeah you would think a university would have their shit together when it comes to payroll.

Hmm, yeah only problem is I can run the office I work in without any of the supervisors around and have done so on numerous occasions for days at a time. Its the physical plant for the university and all the properties it owns. There's very minimal "sitting and doing school work" cause I'm actually working. So yeah, if you find a job where I can sit and do nothing please let me know cause I'm dying to get paid to finish my degree.

Well at my old college most of the work study kids just sat and did nothing, so I'm sorry if I automatically lump you in with that. I still have residual bitterness towards the them because my old room mate got work study and he did jack shit.

Still, however, the university is giving you a job, I would be pretty thrilled if I got work study, if only because I wouldn't have to find some shitty retail job to work during college. Alas, I do not qualify for work study.

Trust me I understand the bitterness man. Some jobs on campus are a joke and yet these idiots get paid as much as I do and some even more. Either way I know I'm lucky to have a job but not getting paid sucks regardless of where you work. You done with school?

Again I'm sorry about lumping you in with those kids. It sounds like you're a pretty rational person so I apologize for being an asshole.

But not quite done with college here. I graduated this past May with a Bachelor's in English and now I'm doing another year and a half or so for secondary teaching certification. I'm supposed to be an English teacher, so I guess that's why I'm always correcting people's grammar and spelling on here.

Guess I'm kinda bitter cause I lost my part time shitty job a month ago and I really don't want to work for d-bags again.

Hmm, well I'm finishing my bachelor in finance in June and probably gonna stick around for another 2 quarters for my accounting degree as well. Managed to hold down this school job for a while, although the money is better elsewhere this is stable and flexible. So I can't complain. Effing economy is killing everyone.

For real?? Dang, Im in la sierra like every week lol My dad graduated from there and is putting mad pressure on me to go there but I'm not too sure about it... You like it there?

P.S. He worked the desk at Sierra towers and said it was a life saver cuz he could also get his work done
