    Vacationed in SC....love my e30

    Just some random thoughts.....

So a buddy and I went down to Myrtle Beach from NYfor a few days of golf. Let me tell ya, the pace is definitely slower down there. Folks there are very friendly and personable once you get to know them. I can't believe how many golf courses there are down there. Wanna guess what other establishments I found to be abundant down there?

Rented a Mustang from Hertz. Wasn't impressed at all (no offense if you own one). With only 8,000 miles on it, the car felt loose with rattles and squeaks everywhere. I think it's got a V6 (?) that made a lot of noise but didn't make the car go anywhere. I drove my e30 yesterday and I feel that for a 15yr old car, it was just built much better.

Only saw one e30 in South Carolina in 5 days. Are there any SC e30ers here?

Whassup! I'd have to agree with both of you on that, there are many BMWs, but very few E30s. I like it here near Columbia, it's nice. But one thing I wish that SC had more of would definitly have to be 'driving' roads. Our roads are no fun :( Glad you enjoyed Myrtle Beach. It is a really nice place to visit. Later

Played at Indigo, River Oaks, and Wicked Stick. Wicked Stick was designed by John Daly so lots of long fairways. Totally ate us up!

          The t-bars are great...eh um...so I've heard.

Next time I'm going to take a side trip to Spartenburg and check out the BMW Facility. Have you NC and SCers done that?

I live in Charlotte, NC, close the SC. I was in myrtle two weeks again, I couldnt stand all the damn straight roads. Can't say I saw many BMWs at all, but who knows.

Topless, my girlfriend goes to USC, lives in Irmo. You make it up to Charlotte much?

                Hey, another SC guy here!
Most e30s around here a really really ragged out, but Gary (Toplesse30) and I have spotted a few decent ones.....

Bmws are everywhere though; a buncha crazy yuppies like my dad  .....

As said by Clay and Gary, there aren't many enthusiasts around here. Also I have been to the BMW Plant/Zentrum/Performance Center a few times.
You should dedicate a day to tour the plant, visit the Zentrum (has a great collection of cars), and to see what the performance center has to offer.

Another place you should visit, if you have the chance, is Carolina Motorsports Park. It is a great local race track.

Here here! Representin' Greenville, I am. Many E30's we have, yes. All just a buncha old fogies, though. Not that there's anything wrong with those. I live(d) about 2 minutes from the Spartanburg plant before I joined the Navy. Now I'm in Monterey, CA. So, yea. If yall ever need to know anywhere to go in Greenville, you know where to come.

Yeah, That would be pretty cool to meet up some day... I never knew that there were so many of you around here. But hey, there is an Auto-X this Saturday at the Michelin Black Lake near Laurens, SC. December 6th. If any of you are going to that I guess we'll see you there. But it's too late to register now though...sorry to those of you who arent going...its going to be a blast.

I have also been the the BMW Center in Spartanburg. Dad and I took the "M Driving School" <--- :o M5's, M3's, X5's allllllllll daaaaaaaayyyy loooooong....for free ;) .

Nah, not lately, the last time i was in Charlotte was about 2 months ago.
