    Make your own carpet?

I had a friend that did his own interior from regular carpet. he said it was some thin carpet that molded in perfectly. what do you guys think? is it possible to do it on a 325i cabrio? and what kind of carpet would be best?

I redid my s14 timing chain with two soup cans, some duct tape, and baling wire. Take that, McGuyver.
