no reverse lights?

Any idea why the reverse lights wont work on either side? all light bulbs are fully functional just no lights for when I'm in reverse..

Those are know to go bad, and it's $12 for a new one.

I have this same problem. My car was an auto and the PO swapped to 5spd, I just figured he messed something up haha. Ill have to look into that reverse switch

Under the shift boot are the wires for the reverse light switch. If I remember correctly, they are green wires, unplugged them and hook a jumper wire to the two wires running toward the back of the car and check to see if the lights turn on. If so, it's the switch, it's an easy fix, this is how I found to check it out, worked for me. Changed the switch and everything is working now.

I've had this little problem for over a year and getting this switch changed, doesn't seem so easy once you try to get your fat bear size hands in there.

yeah my reverse switch has shit the bed too, just too lazy to get under the car and replace it though...
