I've got a nice low mileage (85k) 91' 318i slick top 5-speed that I daily drive. It's got some subtle appearance and suspension mods but overall, it looks pretty unassuming. Perfect for a DD, right?

But why the the fawk do I keep thinking about making it a little more sinister Adding a tint, smoked MHW tails, smoked smileys, painting the wheels nogaro silver, and lowering it a little more. Why, can't I leave well enough alone



Please talk me out of it or push me to just do it already.

Damn Robert!, your car looks really nice, the only thing I would do is go a tad bit lower and your gold.

The tint doesn't take too much away in the looks department but if you want to display the sweet interior, clean windows are the way to go.

MHW, very nice and rare but not something I can spend up to $400.00 in.

Wheels, leave them alone or give them to me if you dont like the color. :giggle:

Thanks guys. The good thing is I already have the smoked MHWs, but I don't know if I want to run them unless I go smoked in the front too. I also have a second set of Ronal LSs that are ready to be painted nogaro. I just need to piss or get off the pot.

Either way, the suspension will be addressed. I have a set of H&R sports waiting in the wings, I just need shocks to go with them.

Yeah, this is true. But then I see this M5, which I can't own, so I just want to emulate the look a little.



Plus I live in SoCal so I don't have to worry about snow and salt on the roads and such, just uninsured drivers.

What rear apron is that? I say your should do it! Smoke the Tails and Ellips, you don't need tint but I really like a dark tint on my alpinweiss 4 dr.

I'm having the same thoughts. I sorta like the way it came stock, but then I thought if I'm gonna do struts I'm gonna go Billy Sports. And then I thought I might as well get H&R's. Then I'm talking to a friend of mine and I'm telling him how much I like the e30 the way it is. He says. "Then why are your putting Sports in it?" So Now I have this set of Sports and Im going M3 springs to try and keep some of the original dynamic.

I have learned that you can ruin a perfectly good car. I resisted for years to not mod my WRX. When I sold it recently, the guy that bought it said all the ones he looked at were covered with all kinds of mods. Mine got a premium price for it because it was stock.

Anyone remember that clean Silver 318is on eBay. Didn't it sell for something like 9K in the end?
