First of all I don't know where on earth y'all are getting your asses handed to you. I have about 6 copies of my keys all over the place (mostly cuz I forget where I put them), but I've gotten them all made at either Ace or Home Depot for 2 bux each. sure they aren't the fancy BMW plastic top keys but why should I care I can start my car!! oh and the one time I did need to get a new key, the dealer only charged me about 20bux.

Yes, but if you lose or break your only key the dealer is pretty much your only option. I broke my only key off in the door of my ETA, and I had to pay $80 for a locksmith to come get the piece from me and go make a copy. The key didn't work properly and they tried 3 times. I had to stick it in the trunk and jiggle the shit out of it to get it to turn. Went to the dealership and ordered one, got it in like 3 days and it worked perfectly. Besides that, the key I originally had didnt double lock the driver door.
