Some of the VERY first m3's were in 85, but i'm talking barely any were produced then. They made m3 verts but not any verts that were baurs. In the ad he says it was one of the first M3's, although the very first e30 m3 had the body of an e30 m3, but underneath it was the 325ix drivetrain. It was a car simply meant to show the upcoming release of the m3. After the body of the m3 with the 325ix drivetrain was introduced they took the M88, chopped off two cylinders, welded it shut and the s14 was born.

This guy posting the ad has no idea what he's talking about. That m3 baur somebody posted a while ago was a guy who did custom work and ruined and m3.

I'll allow someone else to point all of the other inaccuracies, but the first E30 M3's had 3/86 build dates.

Unless they sold those cars in 1985 before they were even built.... whoooooa tripppyy.

My car was purchased in '84 and has a build date of 1/'85.

I read this straight from an old Bimmer Magazine article. I'll see if I can find the pdf. what makes you think any of it isn't? I'm talking about just one m3 had the 325ix body and it was the one to premiere the model. none were ever produced with the 325ix drivetrain.

errr.. yeah. no idea where that nonsense came from. although the e30 m3 was announced first at the 1985 Frankfurt auto show.

you do see the inconsistencies in that statement?
