Whoops, typo on my part. What I thought was the first M3 had an e30 m3 body, with a 325ix drivetrain.

Vlad just confirmed on s14.net that the first M3 was badged as a 325ix and had the 325ix drivetrain, but it had the e30 m3 body.

M3 + Baur + Newer tail lights .... so many things going on

If there is an M30 under the hood, I'll explode.

This guy lives somewhere in Germany. When he bought his M3 new, he paid Baur TC to do a private and custom job to make his M3 a baur convertible with newer taillights, a standard e30 trunk lid, and a few other things. There was a magazine article on this one too, i think it was in Total BMW Mag. Totally custom and definitely not a mainstream produced car.

the first z1 was a baur that had an s50 in 1981, but that was only one z1. im pretty sure it was laguna seca blue and had a very primitive i-drive system

                I'm pretty sure you're retarded.

OMG? Are you a teenage girl? Was it really that hard to type the extra 4 letters to spell it out?

It's a euro car, it wasn't very uncommon to have the headlamp cleaning system.

And yes I know you're mocking.

                      No way....

look kid, just cause you can word vomit what you heard/read somewhere way back when does not make you an expert.

i couldnt care less if a baur e30 m3 was built in 1985. but when you entertain myself and others in this thread fighting tooth and nail over this ONE car it makes my day.

FWIW, the first, prototype M3 DID have an iX drivetrain, i have seen more than one M3 baur, and more than one with late model tails.

Too bad it looks like crap, or it could be one of the coolest, rare E30's out there.

yea it seems both of the m3 baurs had late tails and a normal trunk, i remember that coming up in the thread of that one wasting away last week. Maybe thats just how baur did the custom order to make it all work?

and on another note, the ix drivetrain m3 has been mentioned numerous times and no one has mentioned how sick that would be if they could keep the same balance as a normal M3! Maybe even on the s14?????

It's kind of sad that this is your entertainment, but by all means carry on.
