    Wrong, you can never fully get rid of it in XP. Why? It's part of the explorer shell (Microsoft is that evil).

      Unfortunatly, some things I need to do for school require IE :evil:

        Run the google toolbar, and disable most 3rd party browser add ons (save for that). Install an AV program (not norton), and install spybot, run that every couple of months.

        I have never had a problem with IE. I've run FF, currently have the latest version installed, and it is dog slow compared to IE, not to mention the fact that it still can't render pages properly.

          Word, I've got a webbased tool here at work that requires IE. But I'm working on a workaround lol.

            It's rendering a lot faster for me than IE is. I dunno :P

                there are plugin's that don't exist for FF. I keep IE around for those.
