Warm (not hot) air from vent.

My heater only lets out warm air when at full heat setting. I dont get it. Is my heater core plugged or what? Its not leaking through the firewall thats for sure.

It's probably the valve. Have fun! You should probably replace the lines that run through the firewall while you're there, they get corroded and pitted and don't seal well.

an easy way to tell if you HC is clogged is grab the "return" hose from the HC outlet. If it is the same temp as the inlet hose, your HC is not clogged.

If its cold or not even close to the same temp, you either have a clogged HC or bad secondary thermostat.

Its a bitch to get to and replacing the hoses is a pain. I did all of mine when the engine was off the mounts and pulled forward.

ventilation direction baffle might not full close off the cold air. (something to think about)

do you have a stock m20 or motor swap? Just curious cuz my prob started happening shortly after the swap. It may be a reason for the issue or not.

stock but swapped M20. My problem started after my HVAC panel got torn apart from a break in.

It could be what a few others have been telling me then... Heater valve. The thing is, I have no idea on how to fix it.

I plan on tearing everything apart soon so I'll let you know if I find/fix it.
