Yup. They were the official Alpina importers, until Alpina realized that H&B heavily copied their parts and sold them as their own. The most famous copies were the H&B Alpina-looking wheels.

Jebb this is true,, i also remember a company ((i think it was in California )) Diesel .. was the name,, that company also made a .. replica or clone ALPINA for USA market,,

always remember the E21 with m30 in ALPINA trim,, very fast at that time,, as quick as a Porsche 928 if i remember the article in Road&Track ,,,, damn that is almost 30 years ago ((hehe))

                Yup Dietel.

I was offered (about 15 years ago) their e21 with 745i (Euro turbo) engine for dirt cheap. I passed.

I have read articals about this car in the past I guess it went to Barrett-Jackson 1982 345i Some nice big pics :alright

Cool car, the front spoiler is wierd, looks like my Alpina but with a added part up top. Definetly a oddball collector

i think i saw that E21 widebody at Oktoberfest west in LA a few years ago. If I remember correctly, the bodywork wasn't all that great.

neat for what it is, but it is pretty ugly/funky with those fender flares, good thing it has that motor to make up for it.

                        ugly and strong.....like SLOTH!
